The Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF) is proud to co-host the 3rd Pakistan International Disputes Weekend (PIDW), taking place October 11–12, 2025, at Serena, Islamabad. This year’s theme, “New Era for the Region: Peace, Progress and Global Dispute Resolution,” will gather leading global professionals in dispute resolution, arbitration, mediation, and court systems. As co-host, DRBF will deliver a 2-day workshop on Dispute Boards (October 9–10) and lead a panel discussion on international practices, featuring Region 2 President Xavier Leynaud and Past-President Giorgiana Tecuci. PIDW 2025 promises to be a landmark event for advancing global dialogue and innovation in dispute resolution.

The DRBF has launched a new on-demand training course, Dispute Board Administration & Practice Workshop, now available on DRBF.edu. Designed for both new and experienced professionals, the course covers key aspects of Dispute Board procedures, roles, ethics, and best practices. Offered in a flexible, self-paced format, it provides practical, high-quality training accessible from anywhere. This new course reflects the DRBF’s commitment to advancing global understanding and effective use of Dispute Boards.

In early 2025, CICA, EIC, and the DRBF released a joint position paper titled “Enhanced Efficiency Increases Value of Dispute Boards,” addressing practical challenges in DB implementation and offering recommendations for improvement. The paper was shared with development banks and key institutions to encourage global dialogue and action. Its findings will be presented to the broader construction and dispute resolution community during a webinar on 22 September 2025, highlighting the partners’ shared commitment to improving project delivery and dispute avoidance through more effective Dispute Boards.

In May 2025, the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF) and the Confederation of International Contractors’ Associations (CICA) hosted their second Industry Stakeholders Roundtable in Washington, DC, bringing together over 30 representatives from 16 institutions to advance the Dispute Board (DB) process. Building on the success of the 2024 event, the roundtable featured the launch of a new paper addressing practical challenges in DB implementation. Industry leaders shared insights, and participants engaged in group discussions focused on improving DB effectiveness. The event capped a week of strategic DRBF meetings with development banks to strengthen collaboration on infrastructure projects.
