A Dispute Board (DB) is a panel of one, three, or more impartial professionals formed at the very beginning of a project to follow progress, foster dispute avoidance, and promote early resolution of disputes for the duration of the project. The rapid spread of the proven and unique Dispute Board process worldwide has resulted in its use on hundreds of billions of dollars' worth of construction projects, avoiding countless disputes and delivering significant savings.
Professionals who serve on Dispute Boards include lawyers, engineers, subject matter and industry experts, and contractors, among others.
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
DRBF encourages all professionals who currently serve on Dispute Boards, as well as those who would like to be appointed to Dispute Boards in the future, to take advantage of our robust program of training workshops.
Throughout the year, DRBF offers a variety of topics, both in-person and virtually, to ensure that you are always up-to-date with industry developments and best practices. Workshops range from the fundamental Administration & Practice to more intermediate and advanced topics, such as Dispute Avoidance Techniques and Navigating Quantum.
Receiving DRBF training is a fantastic way to continue to provide exemplary service and to demonstrate your high engagement with the DB concept and interest in serving. Every year, more projects require Dispute Board candidates to have been recently trained by DRBF.
